THE TRIPLE CROWN
(VIDEO)
THE BULLET, ARROW, AND KNIFE CATCH - ALL PERFORMED BY THE SAME PERSON FOR THE
VERY FIRST TIME!

On Nov. 21, 2008, Dr. David R. Adamovich (The Great Throwdini) became the FIRST (and ONLY) person to have performed ALL 3 of the world's most difficult and dangerous catch stunts: the bullet catch, the arrow catch, and the knife catch.
The bullet (.22 cal. 29 gr., 22 rifle, 484 mph muzzle velocity), the arrow (25#
62 recurve bow, steel tip 35 gm arrow), and the knife (14 Throwdini
Thrower, 12 oz.) were fired, bowed, and thrown by Chris McDaniel. Chris is a
world champion trick roper, world record holder bullwhip artist, experienced
rifleman, archer, and knife thrower. All three projectiles were caught/stopped
mid-air by the right hand without the aid of a glove.
Each component of The Triple Crown is real, difficult, and very dangerous carrying
the risk of death and/or serious injury. It was performed by professionals,
with careful planning, foresight and knowledge of the equipment and dangers.
It came to fruition following a communication between Throwdini and endurance
artist/magician David Blaine shortly after his performance of the bullet catch
during the telecast of Dive of Death.
Safety measures were in place before, during and after to ensure the safety
of all team members and witnesses. Multiple cameras were in place to record
the real-time actions of David and Chris. All stunts are real and not a magical
illusion. Nothing has been faked. Everything has been documented.
The Triple Crown met or exceeded: 1) the bullet catch techniques developed by
Carl Skenes and employed by David Blaine, 2) the arrow catch methods of both
Larry Cisewski and world record holder Anthony Kelly, and 3) the knife catch
method developed by world record holder David Adamovich and verified by Record
Holders Republic 'Registry of Official World Records.'
There WILL be skeptics
their doubts are unjustified.
There WILL be those who question The Triple Crown's difficulty and/or danger
speak not until you've stood in the shoes of the person whose done it, held
out your hand, and heard the words, Ready, aim, fire, upon which
follows the unmistakable impact of a bullet traveling 710 f/s, the movement
of an arrow traveling 100 f/s, and the impact of a knife traveling 40 f/s.
There MAY be those who follow
but one person remains THE FIRST (and ONLY)
person to have performed The Triple Crown - David Adamovich aka The Great Throwdini,
The World's Fastest and Most Accurate Knife Thrower. Throwdini has set or broken
20 world records in knife throwing and knife catching.
Most recently Throwdini performed the most difficult, dangerous and accurate
impalement arts stunt, The Annie Oakley Challenge. Using a 14 throwing
knife he knocked off 1/4 inch of burning ash from the end of a 3.25 inch cigarette
held in the mouth of his target girl without touching the cigarette (distance
from nose to ash, 2 inches). His knife throwing records include throwing: 144
knives around a human target in 1 minute, a 10 knife Ladder of Death around
a human target in 4.0 seconds, a 22 knife Ladder of Death around a human target
in 9.87 seconds, and 10 knives in an astonishing 3.73 seconds. His world record
knife catch is 25 in 1 minute.
